--Hargray sponsors Hilton Head Heart Ball--

Hilton Head Island, S.C., January 28^th, 2012 – Hargray sponsored The American Heart Association’s popular annual Black & White Heart Ball this past Saturday. Community leaders and local philanthropists gathered at The Westin Hilton Head Resort & Spa to celebrate the hard work of Hilton Head’s AHA chapter as well as to raise money to support the continuance of the group’s critical work. Attendees enjoyed an evening showcasing the island’s gourmet fare and dancing to the beats of Deas Guyz, a favorite band in the local music scene. The night ended with an auction benefitting the American Heart Association. The Hilton Head Heart Ball was one of many such events occurring across the country to raise money for heart health. Last year, the Heart Ball Campaign raised just over $51 million nation-wide, allowing the organization to fund over $123 million of research and programs across the country.
